March is Red Cross Month, a time to honor and recognize our Blood Program Leaders, donors and volunteers! For nearly a century and a half, the American public has supported our lifesaving services and programs through generous contributions of time, blood and money. We can’t fulfill our mission without dedicated leaders like you.
Our March celebration has been an annual tradition since 1943, when President Franklin D. Roosevelt issued the first Red Cross Month proclamation. Since that time, every president, including President Joseph Biden, has designated March as Red Cross Month. Every March, we honor people like you who make the lifesaving mission of the American Red Cross possible — the individuals across the country who turn compassion into action.
Thank you for standing with us through the last year, as we faced an extremely challenging time. The Red Cross blood supply remains vulnerable. Right now, every single blood donation is critically important, and we are incredibly grateful for you continued support.
Last month our church’s donations went to the following local hospitals:
- CLEVELAND CLINIC
- ST ELIZABETH HOSPITAL MED CTR
- UH CLEVELAND MEDICAL CENTER
- AKRON GENERAL MEDICAL CENTER
- SOUTH POINTE HOSPITAL
April 6 will be our Spring Blood Drive from 12:30-6:30 pm. Donors will receive a new Red Cross T-shirt. Because it is a clinical setting, the Red Cross will continue their masking policy for all blood drives. Currently, our appointments are half booked for the drive. So please share the news on your personal social media & bring a friend. The need is still great and screening for convalescent plasma is still needed. You may contact Dorothy Bell at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please make your lifesaving donation below.
