CELEBRATE OUR COLLEGE GRADUATES

While we take time to celebrate and honor high school graduates during worship, we also want to recognize and give thanks for those members and children/grandchildren of members who graduated from college and are also transitioning into a new chapter of their lives. We are proud of their hard work and determination, and we honor the following college graduates:

Rebecca Bliss (member), graduated with honors with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship at Kent State University.

Michael French (son of Pete & Kristi French and grandson of JoAnn French and Peter & Muriel French), who graduated from Miami University’s Farmer School of Business with a degree in Sales. Michael will be relocating to Denver, CO.

Daniel French (son of Pete & Kristi French and grandson of JoAnn French and Peter & Muriel French), who graduated from Miami University’s Farmer School of Business with a degree in Marketing. Daniel will be taking an additional course in Chicago then relocating to Denver, CO.

Tanner J. Edward Price (grandson of Barb Cannon), who graduated from the Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration, specializing in marketing.

Danielle Renee Smeach (daughter of Susan Smeach) graduated from Ohio University with a Master’s of Business Administration.

Zackery Scott Teffeteller (grandson of Jerry & Lin Reichelt), who graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Master’s Degree in Business Analytics and Project Management.

Grace Tomasko (daughter of Greg & Gwen Tomasko and granddaughter of Betsy Tomasko-Garner), who graduated from Marietta College with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Musical Theater and a minor in Marketing. As the Jewett prize recipient, Grace was given the honor of speaking at her commencement.

Abigail Baker
Abby is a 2022 graduate of Aurora High School.  She was very busy during her four years at AHS.  She was a member of the cross country and track teams, sang in the choir, was a member of the yearbook and newspaper staff, as well as a member of student council and the Interact Club.  Here at our church, Abby participated in the 2019 workcamp trip.  Graduating Magna Cum Laude with an honors diploma, Abby will attend the University of Tennessee majoring in Journalism.

Emma Lang
Emma is a 2022 graduate of Aurora High School. For the last four years, she has been a member of both the Cleveland Youth Wind Symphony and the AHS marching band.  Emma was very active in Destination Imagination since her middle school days.  She was awarded the Global Language Award and won the Choose Ohio First scholarship in computer science.  Emma graduated Magna Cum Laude with an honors diploma.  She will be attending Kent State University to study Computer Science.

Andrew Ploskunak
Andy is a 2022 graduate of Aurora High School.  He was a three sport athlete, qualifying for state in cross country, and also competed on the swimming and track teams.  Andy was a member of the National Honor Society, and both the Interact and Drug-Free Clubs.  He was a National Merit Finalist and a winner of the Phi Beta Kappa Award for Science as well as the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen award.  Not only was Andy in the Greenmen Top Twelve, he was also voted the AHS Outstanding Senior for 2022.  Andy will be missed among our elementary aged kids here at TCIA as he has been a shepherd and teacher over the past few years.  He is excited to attend Duke University this fall to pursue a degree in Computer Science.

Gage Savage
Gage is a 2022 graduate of Aurora High School.  You may see Gage when you are shopping at our local Heinen’s…he has been working there over the last year and a half.  At AHS, he played an important role as the Greenman mascot at sporting events.  On a fun and impressive note, Gage finished constructing the Lego titanic was no small feat with over 9000 pieces!  He plans to attend Kent State University to major in Studio Art.

Samuel Sutter
Sam is a 2022 graduate of Aurora High School.  He enjoyed his years at AHS competing on the cross country and track teams, and participating in the Drug Free and Philosophy clubs.  This year, Sam was selected as one of AHS’s business students of the year, and he was a recipient of an Aurora Alumni scholarship.  We will miss Sam’s contributions here at our church, having had a long history of participation in youth group, work camp, Haven Home visits, and shepherding and teaching our elementary aged students.  Sam plans to attend Ohio University in the fall.

Adria Voyzey
Adria is a 2022 graduate of Aurora High School.  She was very busy academically during her high school years taking eight advanced placement courses.  She received both the Arthur P. and Ruth H. Moebius scholarship and the Jennifer Lynn Elliott scholarship.  Over the last few years, Adria has been active at TCIA participating in youth group, serving as a shepherd, and most recently leading our nursery.  Graduating Summa Cum Laude with an honors diploma, Adria is on her way to Ohio University.
