New Christian Education & Youth – We’re pleased to
welcome Cindi to our church staff.
Cindi
Gonzalez moved to the area with her husband Martin and two
children, Kiley and Elena from northern Illinois. She is
originally from the Chicago area where she taught Montessori
education for 15 years. During that time Cindi trained
teachers, designed curriculum, facilitated educational workshops
and was active in her community. She returned to school to
pursue a Native American Studies degree and taught Lakota Sioux
culture at the College of DuPage in GlenEllyn, Illinois.
Cindi has
always been an active member of her local churches and has a
strong interest in Christian education. She is currently
enrolled at Hiram College in the Religious Studies program and
is eager to share her gifts with the families of The Church in
Aurora.
Cindi loves
to feel a part of nature through hiking, biking and just sitting
in her woods quietly. She and her family spend a lot of time in
the barn, riding horses and enjoying the outdoors. She is both
happy and excited to be part of the church family.
She will have regular office hours and will
