Rally Day

Rally Day is always the first Sunday following the Labor Day Weekend and represents the beginning of a new program year following the lighter schedule of the summer season.  This is when we return to our two-service worship format at 9:30 and 11:00am, Church School reconvenes concurrent with the 9:30 worship hour, Godly play reconvenes concurrent with the 11:00 worship hour, the Chancel Choir is back in the loft for both services and a new church theme is unveiled (usually engraved on a gift given to worshipers). 

Rally Day 2007 is September 9^th!!!  The beginning of the Church School year is right around the corner.  Not only does The Church in Aurora return to a two service format that Sunday, but all of our Church School classes begin that day at 9:30 AM.  Parents, if you have not registered your child by that date, you can pick up a registration form from your child’s classroom teacher.  Just fill it out and return it to the teacher.  Please make sure we have updated e-mail addresses!

 

Rally Day is also the day we move back into The Escape after a several month long hiatus to renovate.  We welcome all to a Rally Day Open House and tour of The Escape after each service.  Please come as we celebrate together in a beautifully completed project.  Thanks to several individual donors and a legion of volunteers, the Body of Christ really came together on this huge project for our youth.
