Archivists

·        responsible to the Church Board to carry out assigned responsibilities

·        report directly to the Board

·        responsible to identify, collect and preserve all items and records pertaining to the history of the Church

·        will collect such items as Annual reports, copies of the Spires, newspaper articles, et., as records of Church activities

·        may obtain help from the trustees to carry out responsibilities

·        will organize and index collections to facilitate retrieval of information from the files

·        will assist persons looking for information that may be in the collections

·        periodically display significant material from the collections.

·        must be Church members for at least ten years

·        must be recommended by other Archivists

·        appointed for staggered terms of three years.

The Archivists made full use of the display case donated by the Memorial Committee.  We displayed old photographs of the church and an old communion set that was used by The Church in Aurora years ago.  This set now sits in the Aurora Historical Society archives.  We are now displaying a quilt that was made for the centennial celebration of Aurora.  This quilt has been donated to The Church in Aurora.
